We invite you to share a locally-sourced meal, support about our work in soil health, and celebrate the end of the harvest season with our farmers! We will be at La Plaza at 721 Peach Street in Palisade from noon to 2 pm .

This year’s tour series took us to six farms that are intentionally growing in ways that rebuild their soil. From ranchers to orchards to vegetable production, the West Slope is full of growers that work hard to reduce their reliance on chemical inputs, protect the ecosystems around them, and produce healthy, delicious food for their communities. The Food and Local Agriculture committee is dedicated to creating policy and programs that help support farmers in shifting to healthy soil practices, and farmers like those we visited this year are a shining example of what that can look like.

We are hosting our Harvest Lunch as an opportunity to gather in celebration of the farms that hosted us, the community who showed up to learn, and the end of our harvest season. Attendance is free, but we encourage you to donate to support our work, and help us host more tours and events for many years to come! We do have limited space, so please RSVP to reserve your plate. We hope to see you there!
