Two Palisade juniors earned third-place medals at the state wrestling tournament — Eli Bency repeated his third-place finish with a quick pin after a quarterfinal loss, and Jacob Snodgrass earned his first state medal with a second-period pin.

Other Western Slope wrestlers also placed in various weight classes.

Palisade High School wrestlers Kadin Mulford and Teagan Young—first duo to win state titles in years—won Class 4A championships at Ball Arena on Saturday.

They celebrated their wins with energetic moves that highlighted a historic season for the school.
