Grand Junction author Theresa Bloom is writing a book series that tells inspiring stories of local women.
The first book, Generations, came out October 2024 and the second, Brave, is set to release May 2025—about 75% of the interviews focus on women from our area.

The city of Grand Junction was awarded a $500,000 grant from Great Outdoors Colorado to fund outdoor improvements at Matchett Park that will support the new Community Recreation Center.
The upgrades—such as the Burkey Pavilion, a synthetic turf field, and overflow parking—will be completed before the center’s ribbon-cutting in mid-2026.
