- ➤ WestCo Brewing Co.—led by Handlebar Tap House co-owner Adam Kinsey—bought the former Edgewater Brewery at 905 Struthers Ave on Feb. 27 and is now renovating the building by installing new brewing equipment and remodeling to expand seating, with an opening planned for mid to late summer. - ➤ Colorado Mesa University and the Mesa County Workforce Center are set to host the annual Grand Valley Job Fair on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lincoln Park — where employers, job seekers, and students can connect with full-time, part-time, and summer work opportunities. Mesa County

- ➤ District 51’s chief financial officer said that the district only receives supplemental funding from marijuana tax revenue, which has fallen $800,000 short of local projections and dropped over 41 percent statewide since its peak in 2020 to 2021 instead of directly supporting schools. She explained that state grants like the BEST program require matching funds—adding unpredictability to future support—and do not cover regular operating costs. The Business Times

- ➤ The City of Grand Junction will host Coffee with City Manager on March 24 at 7:30 a.m. at Colorado Craft Coffee and Beer House (1144 N. 12th St.) where City Manager Mike Bennett and General Services Director Jay Valentine will discuss ongoing city projects and the Spring Clean Up program. - ➤ The City of Grand Junction restored downtown parking enforcement to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. after extended 10-hour parking sparked feedback from residents and business owners—current signage will be updated soon. The Business Times
- ➤ Clifton will see enhanced roads after the Mesa County Commission approved a $2.58 million contract with A-1 Chipseal Co. to treat 28 miles of roads in Pear Park and south Clifton using crack, cape and slurry seal treatments—this project uses a Pavement Condition Index to select roads and provides a tool for residents to report concerns. - ➤ The Mesa County Board of Public Health approved a Community Health Improvement Plan at its March meeting to focus on economic stability and behavioral health for the next three years. Public health staff will track progress on a new public dashboard (which shows key community data). Mesa County
- ➤ Mesa County Public Health announced that its free HCP Care Coordination program will help families with children who have special health care needs by pairing them with a registered nurse—who connects them to screenings, clinics and specialty services. The program, available for children from birth through 21 with no income or diagnosis restrictions, aims to ease the strain of finding essential health resources. The Business Times
