Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 22nd of March.
Good morning, Grand Junction.
🏘️ Community
Ag Awareness Week, led by the Business Incubator Center (an annual ag event), began March 14 and runs through March 24 with events connecting locals to producers.
Highlights include a documentary screening of 'A World Without Cows' at Asteria Theatre on March 24 and a plaza party on March 23.
🏛️ Government
Lawmakers passed House Bill 26-1031 to stop mislabeling produce as Colorado-grown, a move prompted by concerns from the Palisade Chamber of Commerce (for instance, with Palisade peaches) that false claims hurt local growers.
The bill now awaits Gov. Polis’ review.
