- ➤ Construction began at 5th and Main as the city removed a non-operational fountain to create a ship-themed play area featuring a play mound with turf, slide, interactive sidewalk games — the project will complete in May and is expected to boost downtown activity. KJCT

- ➤ GJEP released its 2025 economic report this week, calculating a $194.9 million impact in Mesa County and 224 net jobs, with nearly 943 potential jobs from Morgan Mining’s relocation — the report projected growth in health care, government and educational services as mining and ag sectors declined.
