The Palisade International Honeybee Festival will kick off this weekend as event organizers Dixie Burmeister and Michelle Gossage announced a reception at Talon Wines at the Meadery Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Honeybee festivities will begin downtown Palisade at 10:00 a.m. Saturday — parking is available and shuttles run every 15 minutes.

Bruin Waste Management is expanding in Grand Junction with a new division that will use advanced recycling and sortation technology—supported by Colorado’s Rural Jump-Start Program—to offer services previously available only in Utah.

The facility at 365 32 Road is expected to create up to 30 jobs and reduce transportation costs while improving recycling efficiency and cutting emissions.
