  • Four centenarians at The Fountains were celebrated on March 25 with a party featuring gold tiaras and sashes reading “100 — Fabulous” and a group cake.   • City and water officials in Grand Junction and across the Grand Valley warn that rapid drought conditions from low snowpack and early runoff may lead to water shortages this summer. They urge residents to conserve water to sustain domestic and agricultural needs.  KJCT

HEALTH NEWS

  • Mesa County health officials reported 158 flu hospitalizations and 38 respiratory outbreaks since Oct. 1, 2025—mostly at schools, childcare centers and assisted living facilities. They advise residents to stay home when sick, wash their hands often and speak with a healthcare provider about vaccinations.  KKCO 11

  • Grand Junction HVAC expert Jose Anon from Around the Clock advises residents to change air filters frequently as warmer weather boosts AC usage to avoid costly repairs; filters may need changing monthly (repairs can cost $500 to a full replacement) based on dust levels.  KKCO 11

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • The Ascent at Salt Flats development was awarded $1.9M in Prop 123 funds for 144 rental units for households earning 30 to 70% AMI (northeast of the intersection of Interstate 70 Business Loop and 28 Road).
