- ➤ The U.S. Forest Service secured 80 acres in Montrose County to protect the popular Buck Trail from private development and maintain safe recreation + fire mitigation in the area. Funded by the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the site will be managed for multiple uses. KJCT

- ➤ On Tuesday, Apr. 21, the Colorado House passed Alyssa's Youth Concussion and Mental Health Protect Act (SB26-60), requiring youth coaches to complete a biennial mental health training course through CHASSA. - ➤ CDOT fire crews conduct monthly drills at the Eisenhower and Hanging Lake tunnels to practice confined-space emergency protocols using new equipment (including a pumper truck) and techniques to manage fires and evacuate drivers in Glenwood Canyon.
