- ➤ Grand Valley Power announced it will buy 1.4 megawatts of hydropower from Redlands Water & Power over the next three years to power about 420 homes in Grand Junction. The cooperative said the deal will boost local clean energy and add to its renewable portfolio that includes wind, solar and other sources. The Business Times

- ➤ The District 51 Foundation is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week May 5-9 by offering paper dolls — costing $10 each — with handwritten messages and optional coffee gift cards to honor District 51 teachers who serve over 19,000 students. KJCT
- ➤ Co-owners of Mesa Mycology Center have opened a learning space in Grand Junction to teach adults 21 and older about safe mushroom use and cultivation following a 2022 law change (Proposition 122 decriminalized access to psychedelic plants and fungi).
