Fruita Thrift Shop marks 75 years of community support.
Founded in 1951 behind a feed store, it has raised over $1 million with help from 87 volunteers—its mission remains to assist local causes.
A new festival in Palisade featured local farmers, breweries, wineries and food producers on Saturday, showcasing diverse agriculture and sessions on water and soil conservation.
All funds raised will support La Plaza to provide resources for migrant labor services.
🎓 Education
Since 2006, Riverside Education Centers has provided free tutoring and enrichment for Grand Valley students, partnering with local schools and organizations (like Colorado Mesa University and Colorado National Monument) to boost academic and science programs.
Community donations have secured a facility that will help REC expand its services.
