- ➤ In May Bike Month, Grand Junction is teaming with local groups to hold events that teach bike safety. Brandon York, co-owner of Naked Bike Works, advises riders to wear helmets, bring water and repair tools, and choose safe routes — advice meant to help prevent long delays on rides. KKCO 11
- ➤ Food Bank of the Rockies says that food insecurity rises in summer when school lunches end and will offer free meals to children ages 5 to 18 at Central and Clifton Library beginning May 22 — it partners with Mesa County Libraries and over 110 Hunger Relief Programs to help kids in need. - ➤ Vicki Stuart, a 64-year-old former postal worker from Grand Junction, pleaded guilty to identity theft and forgery after admitting she stole more than a dozen ballots from Mesa County residents ahead of last November’s election—she will be sentenced on June 25. Colorado Public Radio

- ➤ Four newly elected members of the Grand Junction City Council were sworn in Monday morning by City Clerk Selestina Sandoval, with Cody Kennedy sworn in first.
