ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Graduation week at Stoker Stadium is expected to increase traffic at the intersection of North 12th Street — North Avenue, where past data recorded over 120 crashes, so city officials and police urge extra caution as road improvements are planned to improve safety over the next 15 to 20 years.  KJCT
  • A gas line was breached near Patterson Road in a construction zone late Monday morning, leading to one household evacuation and nearby residents sheltering in place — Xcel Energy said repairs would take about one hour while officials investigate who cut the line.  KKCO 11

  • Gov. Polis recognized Grand Junction’s progress in affordable housing Monday as the city met Prop 123 requirements and secured funding for 374 homes (including 54 new units at The Current) amid nearly $30 million in investments.
