- ➤ Colorado Mesa University has surpassed a $10 million goal for its Century Scholarship fund — a milestone achieved during its centennial celebration — supporting students to afford college. - ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife advises visitors to prepare gear, have water and food, and wear life jackets as busy Memorial Day weekend draws hikers and boaters to lakes, rivers, and state parks. - ➤ The Colorado Department of Transportation expects heavier traffic this Memorial Day weekend as the JUCO World Series brings extra vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists to Grand Junction. - ➤ The Mesa County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) held a Memorial Day flag planting ceremony outside the Workforce Center this morning to honor fallen military members. - ➤ Grand Junction police and city leaders address a rise in unsafe riding as more riders, including inexperienced middle schoolers, take class three e-bikes and electric motorcycles onto roads and sidewalks.
