GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Legion commander Greg Schneck of American Legion Lincoln Post 50 said it will sue Palisade if officials do not help repair the aging Veterans Memorial Community Center — built by locals after World War II. Town leaders say repair costs over $3 million make restoring the site unfeasible.  KJCT

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A recent Stacker report using Zillow data shows Colorado cities’ home prices are rising. Local areas near Grand Junction such as Palisade + Glade Park saw annual gains of about 4 to 8%, while the report ranked 50 cities across the state.  Grand Junction Daily Sentinel

SPORTS NEWS

  • Colorado Mesa baseball lost its first super regional game Thursday to UT Tyler, 21-15, leaving its season in jeopardy.
