- ➤ State grants funded with COVID stimulus money are supporting new child care centers in rural Colorado that will add about 330 seats. The Buena Vista center will open this fall and projects at a science museum in Durango and at Colorado Mountain College in Garfield County will open fall 2026—providing new options for families—aiming to ease local child care shortages.
