GOVERNMENT NEWS

- ➤ Yesterday, the City of Grand Junction began accepting Letters of Request for its Affordable Housing Incentive Program. Developers must submit requests between June 1 and July 1 — the program will cover fees such as transportation and water to boost affordable housing projects. WesternSlopeNow.com
- ➤ Grand Junction Airport received over $1 million in grant funding for terminal updates and runway repairs, including relocating its primary runway about 1,000 feet west to better separate it from the smaller general aviation runway. - ➤ Mesa County Behavioral Health Department will close on June 30, which ends several mental health services—such as the Co-Responder Unit that brings law enforcement and clinicians together to manage crises.
