- ➤ Nonprofit organizations in Mesa County can apply for substance use grants from the Brownson Memorial Fund starting Monday, Jun. 1; applications will be accepted until Jun. 26. - ➤ Farmers market season is starting soon across the region — Palisade’s Sunday market opens June 7, Fruita’s Saturday Farmers & Makers Market begins June 13, Cross Orchards runs Saturdays from June 27, and Grand Junction’s Market on Main kicks off on July 9 offering local produce, crafted goods and live music.
