- ➤ A Grand Junction man was arrested on 15 charges after an alleged early morning car chase on Wednesday near 30 Road and Patterson Road, where he ignored deputy commands and swerved to avoid a collision (he was driving about 75 mph) and officers used a precision immobilization technique near Interstate 70B and Warrior Way to stop him (charges include vehicular eluding and assault on police officers) before he was taken to Mesa County Jail. - ➤ Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies encountered a dangerous situation today when a routine stop near 30 and Patterson roads turned into a high-speed chase reaching 75 mph and ended when they used a PIT maneuver on 24-year-old suspect Dylan Upchurch near I-70B + Warrior Way, and he now faces charges including vehicular eluding and aggravated driving.
