- ➤ Grand Junction police tased and arrested a combative knife-wielding suspect named Michael Ritchie on Thursday at 9:15 a.m., when officers found him on the 2800 block of North Avenue with active arrest warrants and transported him to a local hospital for evaluation before booking him into Mesa County Detention Facility. - ➤ AgriWest hosted its second annual council meeting at Clifton Community Center Wednesday evening—drawing over 60 regional agriculture and business leaders who shared ideas to strengthen local farming. - ➤ Attorney General Phil Weiser announced on Thursday that Colorado joined a nationwide settlement with eight opioid drugmakers that may yield over $12 million for local recovery efforts.
