  • Wildfire crews in Western Colorado are battling five fires that expanded overnight and will grow today as wind gusts between 20 and 25 mph make containment more difficult while new evacuation orders have been issued for Highway 141 with residents directed to seek shelter at the Clifton Community Center. A community meeting to update on the Turner Gulch and Wright Draw fires is scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at the Gateway Community Center.  KKCO 11

HEALTH NEWS

  • Wildfire smoke from nearby fires has made air quality in Mesa County unhealthy, and people with asthma, heart disease, older adults, children, and pregnant people are urged to limit outdoor activity.
