- ➤ Mesa County Community Summit is accepting proposals for speaker sessions on topics like resilience and leadership for the October 6 and 7 event at Colorado Mesa University. - ➤ Community members in Glade Park launched a tribute for volunteer firefighters by creating what they call the largest thank you card in Mesa County as part of Movies Under the Stars. - ➤ Mesa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard James Heiden, 35, as a sixth suspect in an operation to target alleged internet child sex predators on the Western Slope—he faces charges of internet sexual exploitation of a child, internet luring of a child and obscenity while five other men were arrested for related offenses.
