- ➤ Grand Junction Police Department responded on July 26 at 5:10 p.m. to a crash at the intersection of Patterson Road and Northern Way when a truck hit an apartment building causing moderate damage with no reported injuries; driver Gil Lujan (50) was arrested and released on a summons for reckless driving. A nationwide recall was issued for Parashore pear slices over potential lead and cadmium risks, while locals can also get a free oral cancer screening at Grand Valley ENT on Monday from 1–5 p.m. and register for Montrose Regional Health’s annual fair and blood draws starting Aug 2.
