- ➤ The Christi Reece Group, a Grand Valley real estate company, announced it donated a total of $30,000 through its Circle Fund, giving $12,000 to KAFM Community Radio, $8,000 to Western Colorado Area Health Education Center, $6,000 to Stages of History Chautauqua Program and $4,000 to &Company. The donations, selected through community nominations and client votes, have been part of the Group’s support since 2019. The Business Times

- ➤ DWC CPAs and Advisors promoted Kate Bruno, Collin Klinker, and Temry Rodriguez to tax senior roles while Madison Donnafield became a human resources senior and Ana Carbajal Barahona earned her CPA certification — all five are CMU graduates who interned with the firm and are members of the Colorado Society of CPAs. - ➤ School District 51 will receive roughly $2 million in federal funds that were previously withheld; Dr. Brian Hill said the money will fund teacher training, instructional coaching and after-school programs—about $900,000 of which will support the Migrant Education Program—and the district expects to know the exact amount by early August. - ➤ The South Rim fire began on July 10 after a dry lightning storm and burned 4,232 acres near Black Canyon Park, causing evacuations and park closures.
