- ➤ On Wednesday, Fruita’s city and 2 Forks Ventures Inc. began construction on The Launch—a mixed-use project adding park space, a boat ramp, and trails along the Colorado River north of Raptor Road. - ➤ On September 6, local artists and businesses showed handcrafted pottery, ceramics and jewelry at The Outpost Market’s fall event at Ramblebine Brewing Company—guests enjoyed food, beer and music during the event. The market series will continue with events on September 21, October 19, October 25, November 1 and November 16 at Ramblebine Brewing Company and Base Camp Beer Works. KKCO 11

- ➤ Two more suspects have been arrested in connection to a September 3 home invasion in the 400 block of Morning Dove Drive in Grand Junction — Eric Everett, 43, and Harley Gurule, 27 were taken into custody on Friday night — while police are still seeking information on a masked suspect seen in a gray hoodie. - ➤ CMU Tech doubled the size of its Sturm Family Manufacturing Center on August 26 to meet growing student interest in welding. - ➤ At Saturday’s Club 20 Fall Conference at Double Tree by Hilton, U.S. Rep. Jeff Hurd explained his work in Washington and his support for H.R. 1—while Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and BLM Senior Advisor Brenda Younkin discussed plans for improved water rights and faster NEPA permits for grazing. - ➤ Western Colorado Pediatrics hosted its annual fundraiser on Aug 22 for the Kids Aid Backpack Program and presented a check for $5,486 to Executive Director Tessa Kaiser outside the Primary Care Partners building—this donation came after 1,098 well-child visits that generated $5 for each visit from July 1 to Aug 1. - ➤ The Colorado Mesa University football team rebounded from a season-opening loss and won 28-7 on Saturday at Stocker Stadium — Aiden Taylor scored on two runs and Noah Greer rushed 53 yards in the fourth quarter.
