On September 20, Fruita neighbors turned the intersection at Peach Street and Aspen Avenue into a colorful mural of aspen leaves — the city’s first Asphalt Art Paint Day gave free hotdogs and shirts to participants and aimed to slow traffic for safety.

The 34th annual Colorado Mountain Winefest in Palisade drew nearly 4,000 attendees on September 20th—at Riverbend Park where over 40 wineries offered tastings—and supported local grape growers.

The City of Grand Junction approved letters of intent with Rural Homes + Vertikal for the Salt Flats affordable housing project at its Wednesday council meeting.
