- ➤ Broadway Elementary students have performed 1,148 acts of kindness and raised $21.8K so far as part of their PTO's Raise Craze fundraiser to pay for a new playground — a project that will serve both the school and the Redlands community. - ➤ Bill O’Brien played at the 24th Mountain Harvest Festival on September 27 in Paonia—marking his return after a retirement party and showing his care for local fans. He said the warm support inspires him to keep playing music and visiting often. KJCT

- ➤ The Mesa County Regional Transportation Planning Office is offering free rides on all Grand Valley Transit routes during the Week Without Driving from Monday through Sunday, Oct. 5 to show the challenges of getting around without a car—especially for those who do not drive because of health or cost issues. - ➤ After years of groundwork, pavement installation for the airport’s new runway will begin in 2026 thanks to an extra $38 million FAA grant. - ➤ Veterans Memorial Cemetery received a historic 1941 Marine Corps Jeep Friday that will help transport the remains of Marine Corps veterans to their final resting place—retired Air Force veteran Sean Meday led a successful GoFundMe campaign, drawing funds from local and regional donors.
