- ➤ Fruita Middle School teacher Casey Sullivan was named Northwest Region Instructor of the Year for 2024 by Colorado Parks and Wildlife for his semester-long hunter education class—designed to help students learn safe and ethical hunting practices. - ➤ STREAM Preschool, EUREKA!’s second preschool, will open on Tuesday at the Confluence Center on Dos Rios Drive and welcome its first class of 40 students aged three to five with a play-based STEAM curriculum focused on river education. It will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. — also serving as the on-site childcare for Confluence Center staff and local families with sliding-scale tuition and public assistance programs.
