- ➤ Just Housing is hosting a housing resource fair and rally on Saturday at Rocky Mountain Elementary Park at 2 p.m.—partnering with Housing Resources of Western Colorado and Mutual Aid Partners to address the housing crisis. - ➤ Color Crew Salon is offering pink hair extensions and tinsel throughout October for a $10 donation that supports Community Hospital’s oncology department. - ➤ Clifton Fire Protection District responded Tuesday night to a home fire on the 3200 block of D 3/4 Rd in Clifton and quickly put out the blaze (despite some damage) with no injuries reported and the cause under investigation. KJCT

- ➤ At a meet and greet hosted by Timberline Bank, Mayor Cody Kennedy, CMU President John Marshall, and local community members welcomed Ben Williams, the new Executive Director of CMU’s Davis School of Business—who joined from UMKC. - ➤ Local CSU researcher Sri Pinnamaneni and Delta farmer Mike Ahlberg planted black-eyed peas on 10 acres near Delta and harvested 24,800 pounds that may earn more per acre than pinto beans while using less water—an advantage as water becomes scarcer. - ➤ The Grand Junction Lions Club donated 80 NumWorks calculators+ to Mesa County high schools to help students during state tests, SAT, and ACT exams. D51 Foundation said math departments will loan the calculators+ to kids who might not afford one on their own. KJCT
- ➤ Mesa County School District 51 received over 80 calculators from a $7,700 donation by the Grand Junction Lions Club and matching funds from the D51 Foundation—helping students gain confidence in math class.
