- ➤ More than 50 No Kings protests were held across Colorado on Saturday, with thousands expected at a peaceful rally organized by Indivisible Grand Junction at the corner of Main Street and Spruce Street. The police and fire departments worked closely with organizers—traffic was minimally affected and only two medical calls were handled—and no violence or arrests were reported. - ➤ A local family organized a donation drive to help residents affected by HomewardBound’s North Avenue Adult Emergency Shelter closing on weekends. - ➤ The City of Grand Junction installed a new artwork titled 'Superbloom' at the roundabout on 24½ Road and Four Canyons Parkway, funded by its 1% for the Arts Program. - ➤ A recent analysis found that Colorado’s breast cancer care cost increased 34% from 2017 to 2023—averaging about $36,000 in 2023 with higher costs for commercially insured patients.
