- ➤ Homeward Bound’s North Avenue shelter closed Fridays through Sundays with only 24—48 hours notice in early October, leaving many homeless residents without cover during cold, rainy weather. City officials and local groups stepped in to assist while planning a workshop with the agency to discuss its large funding request. The Business Times

- ➤ Tesla has installed eight new superchargers at Village Fair Plaza—located at 2691 Patterson Road—in Grand Junction, with the chargers being Tesla’s fastest and including one pull—through unit for electric trucks. - ➤ The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America will host the 2025 Team Hope 5K in Grand Junction on Oct. 25 at Imondi Wake Zone — registration starts at 9:45 a.m. and the race begins at 10 a.m. to raise funds supporting those affected by Huntington’s disease and their families. - ➤ The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced Tuesday that it will text and email nearly 59,000 families with children (ages 4 to 6) to remind them to get their MMR vaccine amid rising measles cases.
