- ➤ On November 23, a Grand Junction tattoo artist held a flash sale at Gemstone Tattoo, offering 22 band-inspired designs for $80 each and donating all proceeds to Run Against Traffic to support survivors of trafficking. The event raised awareness of how trafficking can occur in everyday situations and the artist plans to hold similar events in the future. KKCO 11
- ➤ HopeWest, a Western Slope nonprofit, held its 16th annual Merry Mint Holiday Show on November 22nd and 23rd to raise funds for its kids and teens grief support program. About 800 people attended the event, and proceeds from ticket sales, auctions and donations will help provide counseling, outdoor activities and other services to support over 400 children. KKCO 11

- ➤ Tom Walch will leave Grand Valley Power on January 2 to become executive director of the Colorado Rural Electric Association in Denver, replacing retiring Kent Singer.
